Mauro Moretti
Founder & CEO
Mauro is the Founder and CEO of Three Hills, of which he chairs the Investment Advisory Commitee of both Three Hills Capital Solutions and Impact strategies. Prior to establishing the company Mauro was a Partner at Hutton Collins where he worked on several investments. Earlier in his career he worked at BC Partners, both in Milan and London and the M&A division of J.P. Morgan.
Mauro is also the Founder and Chairman of the Nice To Meet You Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation, focused on promoting education through scholarships, research and projects, to guarantee the same opportunities for everyone and enhance their possibilities for change.
Mauro graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and completed his Master in Finance at Copenhagen Business School. He speaks Italian and English.
Marco Anatriello
Partner
Marco joined Three Hills as a Partner in January 2021 and is an Investment Advisory Committee Member of both the Capital Solutions and Impact strategies. Prior to joining the Firm, Marco was a Co-founder, Partner and Member of the Board of Bluegem Capital Partners, a successful Pan-European consumer focused fund which raised since inception and during his tenure more than €800m of capital across three primary funds and a secondary platform. At Bluegem Marco worked on several investments across Europe and sat on several companies’ Boards. Earlier in his career he worked at Merrill Lynch in the Investment Banking team and in the Strategic Solutions Group both in Milan and London, gaining exposure to M&A, equity and debt-linked products and fixed-income derivatives.
Marco is a member of Consiglio Direttivo of AIFI, and he regularly features in panels and conferences organised, among others, by AIFI, PE Insight and BVCA.
Marco graduated summa cum laude in Business Administration at Bocconi University after spending one academic semester at the University of Southern California – Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles. He speaks Italian, English and some Spanish.
Pablo Vélez
Partner
Pablo joined Three Hills as a Partner in April 2022 and is an Investment Advisory Committee Member of both the Capital Solutions and Impact strategies. Prior to joining the firm, Pablo was a Managing Director within the European Principal Group at Oaktree Capital Management where he lead deals in which over €1 billion of LP funds were invested from both the private equity funds and the direct lending funds. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking Group and its successor fund investing in Europe. Before that, he was based in New York and invested in Latin America while at DB Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Deutsche Bank.
Pablo is an Industrial Engineer from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is fluent in Spanish.
Pauline Ammeux
Partner
Pauline joined Three Hills in 2024 as a Partner, responsible for our investing activities in France across all strategies, Prior to joining Three Hills, she served in top-ranked pan-European private equity firms (PAI Partners, BlackFin CP and Adagia) with a focus on the French middle market. She primarily focused on investments in the B2B services, financial services, and light industrials sectors. As a Board Member of numerous portfolio companies throughout her career, she has supported a diverse array of management teams with their international expansion, buy-and-build programmes, and ESG transformation processes. She started her career in 2007 in investment banking at Lazard in Paris, with extensive M&A experience through a subsequent tenure at Merrill Lynch as well.
Pauline graduated in business administration from HEC Paris and from Sciences Po (Paris Institute of Political Studies). She speaks French, English, and Intermediate German.
Abhik Das
Partner
Abhik joined Three Hills as a Partner in September 2022 with the objective to open Three Hills’ New York office. Prior to that, Abhik was a Managing Director and the Head of Private Debt at Golding Capital Partners, a European asset manager specialized in private markets investments. Abhik oversaw the successful growth of Golding’s private credit business and was responsible for all new fund and co-investments, as well as the management of the portfolio across Europe and North America. Prior to joining Golding, Abhik was a Partner in the Private Debt Group of BlueBay Asset Management in London (now Arcmont Asset Management), where he successfully invested close to €1bn in various middle market businesses across Europe. Before that, he worked in the Principal Finance team at Macquarie, where he invested across the capital structure of European and North American companies. He started his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers in London.
Abhik graduated from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland with an M.A. in Law and Economics (with honors). He also holds a dual CEMS MIM Master’s in International Management degree from ESADE Barcelona and the University of St. Gallen. He speaks English, German / Swiss German, French, Italian and Spanish.
Lance Contento
Senior Managing Director
Lance joined Three Hills in January 2016 and is a Senior Managing Director. He contributed to Three Hills’ New York office opening and activity, and is currently based in the United States. Before joining the company, Lance was in the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs where he focused on special situations lending in the U.S. middle market. Prior to that Lance held investment banking roles at Cogent Partners and Bank of America Securities.
Lance holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, as well as an MBA and Masters in Advanced Finance from IE Business School in Madrid. He is a CFA Charterholder and speaks English and Spanish.
Arjan Blok
Managing Director
Arjan joined Three Hills in June 2017 and is a Managing Director and an Investment Advisory Committee Member of Three Hills’ Impact strategy. He is focused on the Benelux region and, since 2023, on TH Impact. Before joining the company, Arjan was at Vitruvian Partners where he worked for 2 years in the Benelux and UK investment teams. Prior to Vitruvian, he spent nearly 3 years in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley covering Benelux and Switzerland. Previously, Arjan was a technology entrepreneur, co-founding an e-commerce software enterprise in the Netherlands.
Arjan holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MSc in Finance and Investments from the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He also holds a LL.M. in Financial Law from the ESL Erasmus University. Arjan speaks English and Dutch.
Victor Benazech
Managing Director
Victor joined Three Hills in May 2018 and is a Managing Director. Before joining the company, he worked for Lion Capital in London and Los Angeles where he focused on the consumer and retail sector. Prior to that, he was working for mid-market private equity firm Rhône Capital and Merrill Lynch where he served in the private equity group, as well as in the corporate finance team.
Victor holds a Masters in Finance and a Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) in Paris. He speaks French and English.
Barbara Roversi
Managing Director
Barbara joined Three Hills in March 2019 and is a Managing Director and an Investment Advisory Committee Member of Three Hills’ Impact strategy, as well as CEO of the Nice to Meet You foundation. Before joining the company, she worked for Metric Capital Partners in London, where she focused on new investment opportunities in SME’s across Europe. Prior to that, she was at Alvarez and Marsal where she served in their Financial Restructuring and Performance Improvement teams. Barbara began her career within the M&A division of Banca Leonardo (now Houlihan Lokey) in Milan.
Barbara holds a MSc in Finance and a BSc in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and an MBA from INSEAD. She speaks Italian and English.
Daniel Knight
Investment Director
Daniel joined Three Hills in November 2023 and is an Investment Director. Daniel previously spent over six years at Bridges Fund Management in London investing in high growth, impactful businesses across the UK and Europe, and also represented Bridges as a Board Director of multiple portfolio companies. Prior to Bridges, he spent a year at special situations investor Agathos and five years in the Deals practice at PwC.
Daniel completed the ACA while at PwC, holds an MSc in Economics from University College London and a BSc in Economics from Cardiff University
Monica Perricone
Investment Manager
Monica Perricone joined Three Hills in February 2019 and is an Investment Manager. Before joining the company, Monica spent 4 years at Deutsche Bank in the European Leveraged Finance Group and Equity Capital Markets.
Monica holds an MSc in Finance cum laude from Bocconi University. She speaks Italian and English.
Bilal Tahir
Senior Investment Manager
Bilal joined Three Hills in February 2022 as a Senior Investment Manager. Prior to Three Hills, he worked in Private Debt at ICG and was responsible for originating and executing investments on a pan-European basis. Prior to ICG, Bilal worked in the leveraged finance team at Citi, where he worked on several buy-side and sell-side leveraged buyouts and financing opportunities across Europe. Before this, he gained experience with the British Army and at PwC.
Bilal is a graduate of Cass Business School and holds a first-class honours degree in Banking and International Finance.
Sebastian Evertse
Senior Associate
Sebastian joined Three Hills in March 2020 and is a Senior Investment Associate. Before joining, Sebastian spent 2 years in Nomura’s Investment Banking Division covering the Energy sector in Europe.
Sebastian holds an MSc in Financial Economics and an LLM in Financial Law from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
Joseph Bonomo
Investment Manager
Joseph joined Three Hills in March 2021 and is an Investment Manager. Previously, Joseph was a Strategy Consultant at Bain & Company where he spent 5 years working mainly in Private Equity, Consumer Goods and Retail.
Joseph holds a MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, a MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs in Paris and a MSc. in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin. He speaks English, Italian and French.
Alejandro Guil De La Vega

Alejandro joined Three Hills in November 2022 and is an Investment Manager. Before joining Three Hills, he worked for Sunridge Partners in London where he focused on food and agribusiness investments. Prior to Sunridge, he was a Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting where he advised on Strategy and M&A transactions across multiple sectors.Alejandro holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Mathematics with Economics from UCL. He speaks English, Spanish and intermediate French.
Giuseppe Pignatti

Giuseppe Pignatti joined Three Hills as an Associate in January 2023. Giuseppe was a Strategy consultant at OC&C where he spent 3 years and prior to that worked a year for Lok capital an impact PE fund based in India. Giuseppe holds an MBA from London Business School and speaks English, Italian and French fluently.
Patrick Judd

Patrick joined Three Hills in early 2024 as an Associate to support the firm’s business development and investment activities in North America. Prior to that, Patrick worked at Golding Capital Partners in New York, where he focused on investments and the management of the North American private equity and private credit portfolio. He previously spent four years at Strategic Investment Group in Washington D.C.
Patrick holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He also is a CFA Charterholder.
Emilie Chung

Emilie joined Three Hills in May 2024 as an Associate. Prior to that, she spent three years working in M&A at Moelis in London, focused on the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical sectors.
Emilie holds a MSc in Finance and Private Equity from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. She speaks fluent French and English, and basic Spanish.
Andrea Martelletti

Andrea joined Three Hills in June 2024 as an Investment Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Andrea spent over 3 years in investment banking at UBS, working across Milan and London. During this time, he specialised in M&A and capital market transactions across various sectors in Europe.
Andrea holds a BBA degree from IE Business School and is fluent in both Italian and English, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish.

Marco Manca joined Three Hills in September 2022 as an Analyst. Previously, Marco was an intern at Three Hills from September 2021.

Beatrice Tamburi
Partner
Beatrice joined Three Hills as Partner in July 2020 leading the Business Development in Europe, with a focus on Italy. Prior to that, she worked for the Italian Asset Manager Kairos Partners as Senior Relationship Manager for 6 years, covering Private Wealth and Institutional Investors. Earlier in her career, Beatrice worked in the Private Banking division of Banque Pictet SA and in the European Investment Banking divisions of Lehman Brothers and subsequently Nomura, in both the London and Rome offices. Beatrice graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and speaks Italian, English, French and Spanish.
Anna Vivaldi
Director, Head of Client Services
Anna Vivaldi joined the company in May 2018 and is a Manager within the Investor Relations team. Previously, Anna was an intern at Three Hills from September 2017. Before joining the company, Anna worked at PriceWaterhouseCooper within the Audit team. Anna holds a BSc in Business Management from Università degli Studi di Trento. She speaks Italian and English.
Ana Fernandez
Manager
Ana joined Three Hills in October 2014 and is a Business Development & Investor Relations manager with a special focus on the Spanish market. Before joining the company, Ana worked for two years at the Madrid based asset manager BrightGate Capital, as Business Development manager. Prior to that, she spent four years at UBS London in the Equity derivatives sales team, covering Spain and Portugal.
Ana holds a Masters in Management from the Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She speaks Spanish, English and French and Italian.
Giulia Lippi

Giulia joined the company in September 2022 and is an Associate in the Investor Relations team. Previously, Giulia was an intern at Three Hills from October 2021.
Giulia holds a BSc in International Economics and Finance from Bocconi University, as well as several certifications provided by internationally recognised operators such as Bloomberg, LSE and HEC Paris/AXA Investment Managers.
She speaks, Italian, English, Russian, Spanish and French.

Matteo Siani
Operating Partner
Prior to joining Three Hills in December 2022, Matteo covered the role of CFO, General Manager and Board Member in several small and medium businesses where he achieved a significant experience in accounting and financial management, business integration, M&A, HR management and turnaround. Earlier in his career Matteo worked as a strategic consultant in Mckinsey&Co with focus on corporate finance, strategic planning and corporate reorganisations, serving both large corporations and financial institutions, including PE firms. Matteo holds an MBA at Columbia University and a degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University of Milan. He speaks Italian and English.
Tim Pointer
Operating Partner
Tim joined Three Hills in March 2023 as an Operating Partner. Before joining Three Hills, he spent over four years at CAA Brand Management, the world’s largest licensing and brand management company, where he was Chief People Officer. Prior to this, Tim led numerous HR departments across leading household names, including Maxxium Asia-Pacific, Diesel, Pentland, and Dixons Carphone plc. He also founded Starboard, a business consultancy, and the Business Culture Awards.
Tim is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development; and has postgraduate diplomas in HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations from London Business School and Executive Coaching from Ashridge Business School. Tim holds a MA in Contemporary Theatre Practice from Lancaster University and a BA in English from the University of York.
Tim Spillane
Operating Partner
Tim joined Three Hills in March 2024 as an Operating Partner. He works with management teams to drive value creation and turnaround, particularly in the finance function. He previously worked with Sun Capital Partners in the Performance Improvement Team and for Aurelius Equity Opportunities. He was also a Director at AlixPartners in the Turnaround and Restructuring practice. He has worked across Europe, the US and Africa and has held various interim management positions.
Tim holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Claremont McKenna College. He speaks French, Spanish and some Bulgarian.
Stefanie Kneer
Head of ESG & Sustainability
Stefanie joined Three Hills as Head of ESG & Sustainability in 2021 and is an Investment Advisory Committee member of Three Hills’ Impact strategy.
Previously she led the impact team at Bridges Fund Management, delivering the sustainability strategy across its multi-fund platform. She is a founding member of the Impact Management Project, a sector-wide initiative to define standards and norms for impact measurement and management.
She started her career at Bain & Co and holds a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics, and a BSc in International Economics & Management from Bocconi University. She speaks German, English, Italian and French.
Fiona Satchell
Senior Managing Director
Fiona joined Three Hills in May 2020 and is a Senior Managing Director in the Value Creation team, where she leads on all Digital and Technology due diligence and value creation. She has also taken on various interim positions within the portfolio as needed, including that of CEO and Chief Digital Officer, and she holds a number of ongoing directorships.
Before Three Hills, Fiona operated at executive level, leading the digital business transformation and growth at Jimmy Choo, Yoox (TheCorner) Milan, and Liberty London amongst others, and spent the first 5 years of her career as a Management Consultant at Capgemini, London.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Finance & Marketing from Strathclyde Business School and Nanyang Technology University, Singapore and has also studied Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at MIT Sloan.
Laura Heely
Director
Laura Heely joined Three Hills in November 2021 and is a Director in the Value Creation team. She started her career at J.P. Morgan, where she spent six years across strategy and investment advisory functions. After completing her MBA, Laura transitioned to the technology sector, working in strategy and operations at Moonfare, Stint, and later Titanbay, where she was Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Laura frequently collaborates with INSEAD business school, and is an award-winning author in strategy.
Laura holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Northwestern University where she double majored in Economics and French. She speaks English and French fluently, in addition to intermediate Spanish and Italian.
Francesco Ciffo
Senior Associate, Sustainability
Francesco joined Three Hills in January 2023 and is a Senior ESG Associate. Prior to joining the firm, he spent over three years at Deloitte & Touche within the sustainability division supporting private equity investment firms in the definition and implementation of responsible investment strategies.
Francesco holds a MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University and a BSc in Economics and Management from Università Cattolica, Milan. He speaks Italian, English and some Spanish.

Leks de Boer
Partner & CFO
Leks has been a Partner and Chief Financial Officer at Three Hills since inception. He is responsible for the Finance and Risk & Compliance functions of the group. Leks is also a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Three Hills Capital Solutions strategy, and has been involved in a number of investments in the UK and Benelux. Prior to Three Hills, Leks worked at Hutton Collins, initially as the Financial Controller and subsequently as a member of the investment team. Earlier in his career, he worked in Finance roles within industry as well as in audit and advisory.
Leks is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc in Economics and Econometrics as well as a MSc in IT from the University of Nottingham. He speaks English, Dutch and German.
Massimiliano Calabro
Partner, General Counsel
Massimiliano joined Three Hills in London at the beginning of 2021 as a Partner (General Counsel/Head of Legal). He has over 15 years of legal advisory experience in the M&A market with a specific focus on the private equity industry. Massimiliano joined from Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners (a premier international law firm) where he was a Partner in the Corporate-M&A department. Before becoming a Partner, he worked for one year in New York as a foreign lawyer of the Corporate-M&A department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy and he gained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate Governance & Practice at Stanford Law School.
Bruno Fischer
Managing Director, Luxembourg
Bruno joined the company in September 2015 and currently serves as its Managing Director of Luxembourg. Bruno spent more than thirteen years in the accounting field developing expertise in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting functions in Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He most recently served as a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Luxembourg office, specializing in Accounting Compliance & Reporting services (ACR) and Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) to real estate, private equity, and other industries. Bruno holds an MSc from Groupe Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijon-Bourgogne, where he specialised in Audit and Financial Management, and has been registered as a member of the OEC (“Ordre des Experts Comptables”). He speaks French and English.
Jackie Donnina
Head of Operations
Jackie Donnina joined Three Hills in May 2016 as Financial Controller and later as Head of Operations. Prior to joining the firm, Jackie worked at Hutton Collins Partners LLP from 2002 to 2016, initially as Office Manager and subsequently as the Financial Controller. She speaks English and Italian.
Karine Kias
Head of Risk & Compliance
Karine joined Three Hills in Luxembourg as Head of Risk and Compliance in September 2019. Prior to joining Three Hills, Karine was the Head of Risk & Compliance for a 3rd party AIFM managing both regulated and unregulated real estate and PE funds. Karine has extensive senior operational and IT experience, in the UK and internationally, in listed and unlisted global groups/companies. She previously lived in North America for over a decade, working with Deloitte before relocating to the Channel Islands and subsequently Luxembourg. Karine holds a BA in Finance & Economics from the University of Hartford. She speaks English, French and German.
Kim Luong
Head of Tax
Kim joined Three Hills in September 2019 as Head of Tax, with 13 years tax advisory experience across a wide range of areas. Kim joined from the EY International Tax and Transactions team, with a focus on the wealth and asset management sector, specifically private equity. Prior to that she was at Macquarie Group for six years, across Group Tax and the asset management and structured products businesses. Kim holds a Master of Laws (Tax Law) from the University of Sydney, and Bachelors degrees in Law and Commerce (Accounting).
Alessandro Carra
Senior Legal Counsel
Alessandro joined Three Hills in London in October 2021 as Senior Legal Counsel. Prior to that, he was a Senior Associate in the Corporate-M&A department of Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners (a leading international law firm). He has been advising corporations, private equity, investment funds and banks on complex M&A, corporate restructuring, private equity, real estate and joint ventures, also at cross-border level and with a specific focus on the private equity industry, for over 10 years.
Alessandro holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate Law from NYU School of Law and Master of Science in Law cum laude from Bocconi University. He also attended the University of Texas School of Law and the University of Babson College in Boston.
Sven Haberthuer
Head of Human Resources
Sven joined Three Hills in March 2023 as Head of Human Resources. Prior to joining the firm, Sven covered the role of HR Business Partner at Schroders Capital, where he managed the full HR lifecycle, also playing a pivotal role as HR Lead in various acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he worked in HR for Adveq Management and Goldman Sachs in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to his corporate career, Sven was a First Lieutenant in the Swiss Armed Forces.
Sven graduated from the Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland with a Master of Business Administration with focus on Corporate Psychology. He also holds a number of post-graduate diplomas as HR professional in Switzerland. He speaks Swiss German / German and English.

Alberto Tazartes
Senior Advisor
Alberto is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in private equity and philanthropy. He currently serves on the group’s Board of Directors in London, a position he has held since 2019. Previously, Alberto was Managing Partner at BC Partners in Milan from 1989 to 2005, where he played a key role in managing €10 billion in funds and overseeing the acquisition of over 60 European companies across various sectors. His philanthropic contributions include serving as Director of the De Agostini Philanthropic Foundation from 2006 to 2020, supporting initiatives in education, child welfare, and medical research. Alberto holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Fabio Troiani
Senior Advisor
Fabio joined Three Hills in 2022 as Senior Advisor. Since 1986 he has been involved in management consulting for Italian and multinational companies. He has been one of the protagonists of the process of privatisations and liberalizations in the telecommunications sector in Italy and Europe. He was the Co-Founder and CEO of Business Integration Partners (“BIP”), an Italian multinational consulting firm for businesses and public administration, employing over 3,000 professionals across 14 countries. Prior to that, Fabio was the European TMT Leader at Deloitte, with budget and strategy responsibilities in over 15 European countries. Fabio holds a MSc in Business Administration from University of Rome and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh.
Christophe Ramoisy
Affiliate Partner
Christophe joined the Group in 2019 as an Affiliate Partner to strengthen the group’s presence in France. With over 30 years of close relationships with entrepreneurs, he co-founded and managed Pragma capital, a french PE Fund, for over 15 years. Earlier in his career he was driving the ECM and M&A mid-cap activity at Crédit Lyonnais, leading several IPOs.
He graduated from University Paris Dauphine and speaks French and English.
Alessandro Albano

Alessandro joined Three Hills in early 2024 as an Affiliate Partner to support the Group’s growth plans in Italy. Alessandro is a successful, well-known businessman in Italy where, earlier in this career, he gained extensive experience as a Consultant for the Big Four. More recently, he took over several prestigious roles, such as the chairmanship of Equiter and the CERM Foundation, and senior advisorship for Ardian Infrastructure.
